Uplift, acquired by Upgrade, is a fintech company that provides flexible financing solutions for travel purchases. Through its platform, travelers can pay for flights, vacation packages, cruises, and other travel experiences over time instead of paying the full amount upfront. Uplift partners with major airlines, cruise lines, and travel providers, helping millions of travelers access more flexible payment options when booking their trips.
Uplift was already available on a limited number of websites, but their growth team needed help to develop new native iOS and Android apps. The biggest challenge, in this case, was to integrate their point-of-sale SDK to these mobile apps, as well as to add features like building shopping lists, borrower portal functionalities, and app analytics, among others.
In order to build these new native apps, we used a diverse stack that included Kotlin, Swift 5, and Python specifically for the backend, as well as React.js for the back-office sites. Our team, which included over 17 developers, collaborated with their product and technical teams to enhance key parts of the system and contribute to new functionality. This work helped support the platform’s ability to handle travel bookings, financing options, and payment flows across partner integrations.
Through this collaboration, CodigoDelSur helped strengthen the Uplift platform by improving reliability, performance, and scalability. Our team contributed to supporting a fintech platform that enables flexible travel financing for customers across multiple travel providers. The improvements helped ensure a smooth and secure payment experience for travelers and partners using the platform.
