Our client approached us seeking assistance in creating an application designed to serve as a photo-based memory factory, aiming to enhance familial relationships, particularly between parents and children. Thus, the first version of Tooth Magic Memory was born, drawing inspiration from the legends of the Tooth Fairy and Ratón Perez, with the latter specifically targeting the Latin American audience.
While there are similar applications in the market, the founder observed that they lacked robust features, generally had a very low image quality, and exhibited low stability, resulting in a poor user experience. Our challenge was to realistically simulate the Tooth Fairy’s visit to a sleeping child by merging the child’s photo with a customizable character sticker. Through various adjustments (brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc.), we aimed to create a postcard that immortalizes this memory.
Our team initially worked on a proof of concept, for iOS devices, to assess the technical feasibility of achieving a realistic postcard, which is the ultimate goal for the user. Once we found the technical solution to this, we started working on the development process closely with the founder to understand his vision for the product and bring it to life.
The outcome of this process was an iOS application available in over seven languages, featuring two sections: one for adults and one for children, secured with safety measures. Users can buy customizable options such as clothing, positions, sizes, and gestures for both characters. Additionally, parents can keep a record of each tooth loss, complete with photos and postcards featuring stickers. Families can also simulate conversations between the child and the characters, helping enhance the magical experience!
