MoviePass offers a one-of-a-kind movie theater subscription that allows users to watch any movie at any theater across the USA. Originally launched in the early 2010s, the company was recently acquired by its original founder, who set out to launch a new & improved version of the platform for all movie lovers out there.
The biggest challenge for our team, beyond the usual tight deadlines that we often face, was to completely overhaul & redesign the original iOS & Android apps. This being the case of a company that had previously been very successful, expectations were high from both the founding team & the public.
The first step was to familiarize ourselves with the business and its vision for the future, in order to really capture the essence of the product and what the client was looking to achieve. We then set out to create a product that was useful & intuitive for users, for which we worked closely with our product and technical counterparts on the client’s side, using state-of-the-art technologies such as SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
As a result of our work, the iOS and Android apps were released to more than 100.000 users in their beta versions! As the company continues to gain traction, we're moving forward with further features and enhancements, excited for what's ahead!
